 I am a graduate student at Austin Peay State University working under Kara Cheek as my supervisor. I am eager to work with people in the LGBTQ+ community, romantic relationship dynamics, and individuals who feel at a crossroads or in the passenger seat of their own lives. I believe that growth happens within a warm, nonjudgmental space, where you are free to be yourself. 

My approach to counseling is integrative, which allows me to adapt to the unique needs of each client. The theories I draw from include CBT, ACT, and Person-Centered.

For couples work or other romantic relationship dynamics, I utilize The Gottman Method. I support inclusivity in a variety of different relationship types. 

When interacting with clients, I prioritize inclusiveness and acceptance, and I believe everyone is capable of achieving their goals. I can’t wait to meet you and be a part of your self-love journey!

I’m a graduate counseling intern at Austin Peay State University, working under the supervision of Samantha Strickland, LPC-MHSP. I’m especially drawn to working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families as they navigate emotions, relationships, life transitions, and difficult experiences. I believe everyone deserves a safe and supportive space where they feel heard, understood, and accepted.

My approach is grounded in person-centered counseling, and I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I strive to meet each client where they are and tailor our work to their individual needs. As an intern, I am continuing to develop my counseling skills under clinical supervision while bringing compassion, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand each person’s unique experience.

My goal is to create a warm and nurturing environment where you can explore challenges, recognize your strengths, and develop tools to navigate life with greater confidence.

I am a student at Austin Peay State University, pursuing my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, currently under the supervision of Brianna Hull. I work with children, adolescents, and adults. As a disabled person myself, I work with the disabled community and I understand the importance of wanting to be understood and valued. I also believe that children should be able to experience a safe therapeutic space despite not having the words yet through the use of child-centered play therapy. I approach counseling with a trauma-informed focus with the understanding that all experiences are different and may require different modalities. One of these modalities we can use together is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). These are some modalities that I'm open to working with, but I am also still developing these in supervision.

I have a person-centered approach. I believe that each session is guided by you and everyone should be able to express themselves fully in a safe space. Through working together, I hope to create a space that fosters growth and healing. I will work

Welcome! I am a graduate counseling intern working towards my master's degree at Austin Peay State University, where I previously received my bachelor's degree in psychology, graduating with honors. On this journey of growth with me is my supervisor, Kayla Cook, who will enhance my effectiveness.

I desire to work with men, women, teens, and children ages 10+ experiencing a wide array of concerns such as trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also desire to work with members of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities experiencing concerns such as minority stress and trauma. Veterans and individuals with physical disabilities are strongly welcomed. As we build our connection, I will provide opportunities to explore these hardships with evidence-based solutions that apply directly to your life as well as foster a space where safety and acceptance is always expressed as we work towards healing together.

My approach is Adlerian, and I am currently training in trauma-informed therapy and Adlerian- based play therapy. With an Adlerian approach, I will work closely with you to holistically explore all aspects of who you are in a goal-oriented relationship of positive regard, empathy, and mutual trust and respect. As we work together from this approach, you may discover unforeseen attributes to your life as core beliefs, values, memories, and insecurities will be traversed.

You can expect a welcoming atmosphere of sincere understanding at your preferred tone and pace as I meet you where you are. Our relationship will be a dedicated partnership free from judgement with the genuine acknowledgment that you know yourself best as well as the belief that you are accountable for your life. I would love to work with children struggling with trauma, anxiety, or ADHD, adolescents struggling with anxiety or ADHD, and college students and adults who need stress management or help with anxiety disorders.

My counseling approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, which emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. As a counselor-in-training, I continue to develop my clinical skills under professional supervision while striving to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I also have a growing interest in incorporating art therapy techniques into counseling when appropriate, recognizing the value of creative expression to process emotions, reduce stress, and promote self-discovery.
