Lauren Cobb, MSW, LCSW, RPT

Owner of Inspired Counseling Services

I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been working in private practice since 2017. I received a bachelors degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from the University of Southern Indiana. I then received a masters degree in social work from Austin Peay State University, graduating with honors.

I truly love what I do; making a difference in this world one person at a time brings me joy.

Individual Counseling

Are you ready for change? Let's work together to create a plan, an action plan, of how we can get you to where you want to be. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insights into your behavior, and develop strategies for positive change. I specialize in treating anxiety, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief, stress, and trauma/PTSD through the use of exposure and response prevention therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, sand tray therapy, client-centered therapy, internal family systems (IFS) informed EMDR, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

My role as a therapist is to guide, support, and empower you through your journey of healing and reaching your potential. I would be honored to support you through your journey.

Child Counseling

I am a Registered Play Therapist™ and am passionate about working with children, specifically through the use of play therapy techniques. Play is the way children communicate, thereby making it the best way to understand a child. I utilize evidence-based techniques to help children struggling with anxiety, behavioral issues, depression, transitions, trauma, divorce/separation, among others. I assist children and their parents to develop coping skills, improve self-esteem, and create strong caregiver/child bonds.

When working with children, I require periodic parent consultation meetings where I provide support and psychoeducation of various skills to promote growth outside of therapy sessions. I am also able to provide evidenced based parent interventions, when needed, including Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) and Circle of Security Parenting (COSP).

Advanced Trainings:

  • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
  • Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT)
  • Adlerian Play Therapy (AdPT)
  • Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT)
  • Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT)
  • Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) Facilitator

Are you feelings stuck?

Whether it's your career, relationship, daily grind, or just feeling trapped internally, sometimes it seems like no matter how hard you try, you just can't move forward. This feeling can block your growth, connections, and bring about pain and confusion. But here's the good news: how you tackle these challenges can make all the difference in creating a fulfilling and positive life.

I'm here to help you see that you’re more than your problems and that the roadblocks in your path can be overcome with a bit of guidance. Through narrative and acceptance commitment therapy, we can tackle these obstacles together.

I offer services to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, with a special emphasis on the BIPOC community, couples, veterans and active military and their families.  My approach is authentic and customized to meet you precisely where you are in your journey. You are the expert of your own life, and my role is to help you connect the dots when things feel unclear.

Together, we can create a space where you regain control and rewrite your story. Whether you’re dealing with intrusive thoughts, trauma, broken relationships, or uncovering who you want to become, I’m here to support you.

Feeling stuck can be exhausting. Whether it’s work, relationships, or just the weight of everyday life, it can seem like no matter how hard you try, things don’t move forward. That “stuck” feeling can make it hard to see your own strengths, and sometimes it feels like you’re carrying it all alone.
That’s where I come in. I’m here to remind you that you are more than your struggles. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you connect the dots and find a path forward that feels both hopeful and authentic.

Therapy Modalities I Use
I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Instead, I use tools that match your needs, such as:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Discovering what matters most to you and learning to live more fully in alignment with your values.
  • EMDR Therapy: Helping your mind and body heal from trauma and painful memories.
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts Work: Exploring the different parts of you with compassion and curiosity.
  • Narrative Therapy: Supporting you in rewriting your story so it highlights your resilience and strengths.

Every step is paced with your comfort in mind, always keeping your healing and growth at the center.

Who I Work With
I work with teens (16+), adults, and couples, providing telehealth sessions only. Some of the people I especially enjoy supporting include:

  • Members of the BIPOC community
  • Veterans, active-duty service members, and their families (as a veteran myself, I get it)
  • Couples navigating transitions or working on reconnection
  • Individuals healing from trauma, anxiety, or broken relationships
  • Anyone facing life transitions or trying to rediscover themselves

Private Pay and Insurance

My private pay rates are:

  • $140 per individual session
  • $150 per family or couples session

I can accept the following insurances:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Cigna / Evernorth
  • Optum
  • Oscar
  • VA-CCN
  • United Healthcare

I works with ages 16+ and only offer virtual appointments.

  • Rebuild and strengthen attachments to feel more secure in your relationships;
  • Strengthen self-efficacy, self-compassion, and self-esteem;
  • Create stronger more resilient bonds within the family system;
  • Strengthen emotional awareness, resilience, and coping;

Samantha Strickland, LPC-MHSP

Welcome! I am a licensed professional counselor with a passion for providing meaningful therapeutic experiences for every client I serve. In my work, I prioritize the therapeutic relationship and intentionally craft an environment of security, openness, acceptance, warmth, humor, and sensitivity. I am a good fit for clients searching for a nurturing, nonjudgmental, and encouraging therapist. I aim to be flexible and regularly invite my clients to share feedback to ensure that our work is collaborative and purposeful. I can’t promise that therapy won’t be uncomfortable, difficult, or even painful at times but I can promise that you will be safe, respected, and cherished throughout our work together. I would be grateful for the opportunity to hear your story, hold your pain, and guide you through healing.

Individual Counseling

Safety, respect, autonomy, and empowerment are some of my primary values both personally and professionally. I provide therapeutic services to children, teens, and adults experiencing a wide range of stressors and challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship distress, self-harm, suicidal ideation, life transitions, women’s issues, and more. My primary approach is person-centered as I firmly believe that clients are the experts in their lives and experiences, although I do incorporate additional interventions and modalities, such as sandtray, expressive arts, mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy in order to ensure that my clients are provided with a treatment that is unique to their background, comfort, needs, and goals.

Child Counseling

I have experience providing counseling to children as young as three years old and am dedicated to creating a safe therapeutic environment in which even the littlest of clients can explore and overcome their challenges. I am trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and Adlerian Play Therapy (AdPT) and work to establish an individualized treatment approach to best suit the needs of my clients and their family systems. I have experience working with children who are impacted by anxiety, phobias, trauma, grief, attachment ruptures, life adjustments, behavioral concerns, depression, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and more. I find it necessary to include caregivers in the therapeutic process and often encourage parent consultations in order to honor and support those closest to the children under my therapeutic care. I know it can be frightening and uncomfortable to ask for help and to place your trust and your child’s care into the hands of another. I do not take this role lightly and I consider it a significant privilege to be part of your child’s growth and healing.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that utilizes eye movements to support clients in addressing common concerns associated with phobias, anxiety, grief, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and more. The goal of ART is to process negative and often distressing images and sensations stored from previous experiences in order to relieve clients of intrusive and lingering symptoms. ART is noted to be a relatively brief treatment method, with clients often reporting relief following one session. I am a trained and certified ART practitioner and have witnessed tremendous healing as a result of this treatment method. I am happy to engage clients solely in Accelerated Resolution Therapy or to incorporate it into longer-term treatment depending on the needs, desires, and appropriateness of each client.

Ally Davis, A-LPC/MHSP

Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, OCD, grief, or major life changes. Some struggle with racing thoughts, self-doubt, or feeling emotionally stuck. Others are trying to process painful experiences, relationship difficulties, or the impact of trauma or women’s issues. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you are carrying, and learn healthier ways to respond to difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences while moving toward a more meaningful and connected life.

I offer a supportive and collaborative space where clients can explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I use approaches including ACT, CBT, ERP, DBT, and trauma-focused therapy to help clients build coping skills, increase flexibility, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you have been carrying things on your own for a long time. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. I want to provide a space where you can feel supported, understood, and able to take steps toward healing and growth at your own pace.

Some of what we carry doesn't have words yet. For children, it shows up in play, in what they build, create, and enact. For teens and adults, it shows up in patterns, relationships, and a persistent sense that something is wrong even when life looks fine on the outside.

I work with clients of all ages, from young children to adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma, and the lasting effects of early attachment wounds. My approach is warm, relational, and paced by you. I don't believe healing happens through technique alone. It happens in the context of a safe, consistent relationship where you finally have room to be fully yourself.

With younger children, I use sandplay therapy and child-centered play therapy,  approaches that honor the fact that play is a child's natural language. Children don't need to explain what's wrong to begin healing. They show us, and I know how to listen. Families are an essential part of this work. Through filial therapy and family involvement in the child-centered process, I support parents and caregivers in becoming a therapeutic presence in their child's everyday life, extending the safety and attunement of the therapy room into the home where it matters most.
With older clients, I draw on person-centered talk therapy, always through a trauma-informed and attachment-aware lens. Whether you're working through something specific or trying to understand patterns that have followed you for years, we'll move at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.

I believe the people who come to therapy are not broken. They are adaptive. They found ways to survive what happened to them, and now they deserve support in building something beyond survival.

I look forward to working with you and supporting your journey. I work with dI offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, with availability during the week and on weeknights to best accommodate your schedule.

ART can be used as a stand-alone therapy or integrated into ongoing treatment, depending on each client’s needs and goals.
